What is No Longer Home?
No Longer Home is a semi-autobiographical point-and-click adventure by Humble Grove. At its center are Bo and Ao, two young adults who must clear out their shared flat in London after university. Ao is due to return to Japan because of her visa situation, while Bo stays in England.
The game combines everyday conversations and objects with magical realism. Instead of classic puzzle chains, the focus is on exploring a familiar place, whose rooms, memories and small changes carry the story.

Gameplay
Players move Bo and Ao through their shared flat, examine objects and talk with friends. Barbecue evenings, video games, conversations in bed and other everyday situations shape the experience. Choices and observations mainly serve to make the characters' bond with their home and with each other tangible.
The apartment changes in places in a surreal, magical way. This magical realism stays closely tied to the characters' emotional situation rather than working as a separate fantasy system.

The apartment as a narrative space
The shared flat is more than a backdrop. Furniture, clothing, technology and personal belongings link concrete memories with conversations about the future, belonging and saying goodbye. Humble Grove explicitly describes the game as an exploration of an intimate living space, where the environment itself carries a large part of the story.

Semi-autobiographical background
No Longer Home grew out of a similar separation the developers went through. After university, Hana Lee and Cel Davison had to go their separate ways, and they stayed in touch partly through their work together on the game. That experience forms the basis for Bo and Ao's farewell to their shared home.

The PlayStation versions support, among other things, alternatives for audio information, separate volume controls, manual saving and play without motion controls, touch input, vibration or adaptive triggers. Sony lists these features for both PS4 and PS5.
