What is Party Animals?
Party Animals is a physics-based fighting and party game from Recreate Games. Dogs, cats, rabbits and other animal characters fight each other in arenas. The movements are deliberately wild and unpredictable: whoever brawls at the edge of a platform can fall into the depths themselves.
The game offers fights against other players, team tasks and shared matches on one screen. Characters can grab, throw, hit and use objects as improvised weapons.

Gameplay
Instead of precise fighting-game combos, grabbing, shoving and throwing take center stage. The characters stagger, hold on to objects or try to fling opponents out of an arena. On the maps, moving vehicles, moving objects and other hazards change the fights.
Many matches come from short, easy-to-understand tasks. A single hit rarely decides everything: those who use the environment and work with others often have an advantage.

Game modes and team tasks
Besides battles where the last surviving figure wins, there are team competitions with objectives. Depending on the map, teams may need to carry items, score goals or push the opposing side out of a contested zone.
The tasks differ clearly from free-for-all brawling but use the same physics. As a result, cooperative actions also remain deliberately hard to control.

Online, couch multiplayer and crossplay
Party Animals supports online matches and local players on a shared screen. On Steam, online PvP, online co-op, local multiplayer and crossplay matches are listed. This lets you get friends together across different supported systems.
On PlayStation 5, the game is designed specifically for an online connection. If you want to play online with friends there, you need PlayStation Plus. Local players can join on the same console, but an online connection is still required.

Animal figures and customisation
The fighters are animals with different looks but the same core principle: simple actions become hard to predict because of the physics-based controls. The game world deliberately focuses on short, easy-to-read animations and expressive characters.
Outfits and other cosmetic items change the look, not the basic rules of a fight.
