Risen 3: Titan Lords

Risen 3: Titan Lords is a fantasy RPG by Piranha Bytes. The protagonist loses his soul through a supernatural encounter and travels through a world threatened by titans and shadow creatures to win it back. The game world consists of explorable regions and islands with quests, independent characters and factions that offer different routes to the goal.

The game relies less on a fixed order of all tasks and more on discovery, dialogue and decisions about allies.

The original version of Risen 3 came out in August 2014 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The Steam product page dates its PC release to Aug 12, 2014. The Enhanced Edition for PlayStation 4 followed on Aug 20, 2015 and combines visual revisions with the add-on content released up to that point.

The PlayStation Store lists the Enhanced Edition as a PS4 product. That it can be played on PS5 via backward compatibility is not proof of a separate native PS5 version.

Standalone releases are documented for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and later PlayStation 4. The PC version is available on Steam. The Enhanced Edition with revised visuals came out for PS4. According to a PlayStation Store note, the PS4 version can also run on PS5, but there it counts as a backward-compatible PS4 game.

A native release for PS5, Xbox Series or Nintendo Switch is not confirmed by these store listings.

Players roam islands, villages, mines and enchanted landscapes, meet different inhabitants and complete tasks in their own order of priority. Depending on your choices, relationships and quest outcomes can change. Swimming and climbing extend exploration beyond fixed paths. RPG progress comes from experience, new equipment and the options of the faction you choose.

On Steam, Fog Island, Uprising of the Little Guys and Adventure Garb are among the available Risen 3 add-on content. The PlayStation 4 Enhanced Edition already includes these previously released expansions and adds a graphically revised version of the main game.

Steam lists a minimum of a dual-core processor at 2.4 GHz, 2 GB RAM and 8 GB storage. For the 64-bit version, the store lists at least 4 GB RAM. The recommendation is 8 GB RAM and graphics cards in the GTX 570 or Radeon HD 5870 class. Older Windows versions listed refer to the original release, not to the current minimum requirements of the Steam client.

A PlayStation 4 Enhanced Edition was released with improved graphical detail and the DLCs available at the time. The PlayStation product page lists German and English voices as well as several text languages. According to the store, on PS5 it remains a backward-compatible PS4 game.
