Samson

Samson: A Tyndalston Story is a gritty single-player action game from Liquid Swords. Samson McCray returns to Tyndalston while his sister is held as leverage for his debts. The campaign combines melee fights, driving sequences and decisions under constant time pressure.

The PC version came out on Apr 8, 2026. The native versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S followed on Sep 21, 2026. Liquid Swords released the console versions together with a new PC update.

Samson is available natively for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. On Xbox, the game supports Xbox Play Anywhere, cloud saves and ray tracing. The PS5 version offers Remote Play, DualSense vibration and adaptive triggers, plus PS5 Pro support. Versions for PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch have not been announced.

Samson combines third-person melee combat with driving sequences in an open city. You fight with fists, improvised weapons and the environment. Vehicles are more than transport: in chases you can ram them, use them as cover or deploy them against enemies. A skill tree with more than 25 upgrades develops Samson's combat abilities and driving style.

On PC, Samson requires at least Windows 10/11, 16 GB RAM, a Core i5-10505 or Ryzen 5 3600, and a GeForce GTX 1070 or Radeon RX 5600. Recommended are a Core i5-11400 or Ryzen 5 5600 XT, plus a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6700 XT. Installation requires 15 GB of SSD storage.

Campaign progress is structured by Samson's debts. Missions use up limited Action Points, so not all tasks can be pursued at once. In addition, the game requires daily money quotas: if you miss them, the debt load for the next day increases. These systems make time and resources a lasting part of decision-making.

Tyndalston responds to Samson's behavior. The Law Response system increases pressure from the authorities when the player causes too much chaos. Together with the limited Action Points and the daily debt quota, this creates gameplay in which violence, missions and escape routes don't go entirely without consequences.

Liquid Swords developed and published Samson. The studio, founded in 2020, was declared insolvent on Oct 12, 2026. Founder Christofer Sundberg confirmed the closure on Oct 19. The rights to Samson are up for sale.
