Signal Veil

Signal Veil is a classic-style third-person survival horror game from Time Hunters and Serafini Productions. At its centre is Aki Mizuno, whose mother vanishes without a trace. What remains is a mobile phone with supernatural abilities, which leads Aki through the haunted Nishikawa High School.

The story combines psychological horror with a look shaped by 1990s anime. The phone reacts to spiritual presences and hidden memories, while Aki investigates a series of missing persons cases and the school's past.

No release date has been set yet. On Oct 1, 2026, Signal Veil had its world premiere at the 28 Games Later Horror Showcase. The store pages still list the game without a specific date.

Signal Veil is announced for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. On PC, store pages exist at Steam and Epic Games.

Signal Veil uses fixed camera angles, scarce resources and encounters that demand observation rather than sheer firepower. Aki's phone vibrates, crackles and shows interference when spiritual presences or memories are nearby. The flash and camera help make entities visible or vulnerable and uncover hidden clues.

Enemies are fought through a multi-stage spiritual mechanic: locate, provoke, stun or expose, and finally banish. At the same time, Aki's mental state affects her perception. When her stability drops, the environment and enemy behaviour change.

For the PC version, Steam lists at least Windows 10, 8 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 750 Ti or Radeon HD 7850, and 4 GB of storage. Recommended are 16 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 1660 Super or Radeon RX 580, and an SSD for shorter loading times.
