Sturmjäger

Sturmjäger is a science fiction shoot 'em up from the German studio Byteproduct. The game focuses on immediate arcade action instead of long cutscenes, combining ten handcrafted missions with boss battles, three game modes and local two-player co-op.

Sturmjäger releases on Jan 14, 2027. The date is confirmed by the official store pages for PC and Nintendo Switch.

Native versions are confirmed for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. On Xbox, Sturmjäger is optimized for Series X|S; the Switch version supports local co-op for two players.

The campaign consists of ten individually designed missions with their own visual themes and boss battles. You can play in the continuous Arcade Mode, the mission-by-mission Mission Mode, or the score-focused Score Attack.

The high score system rewards fast kills, kill chains, risky close-range attacks and no-death runs. Two main weapon systems can be upgraded and adjusted to different threats during combat.

For the PC version, Steam lists at least Windows 10 (64-bit), an Intel Core i5-6400 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200, 8 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 570 with 4 GB, and 8 GB free storage. Recommended are a Core i5-12400 or Ryzen 5 5600, 16 GB RAM and a GeForce RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600 XT with 8 GB.

Sturmjäger supports local co-op for two players. On Steam, Remote Play Together is also listed. Global online leaderboards turn the score chase into an ongoing meta game, while three difficulty levels cater to both newcomers and experienced shoot 'em up players.

Each mission has its own musical focus. The soundtrack features twelve original tracks by Rafael Dyll and is tailored to the different locations and boss battles.
