Gameplay
The drives combine arcade chaos with time management. Players must reach bus stops, but can also take shortcuts and ignore traffic rules in favor of the timetable. At the same time, the bus has rules for passengers that change daily.
Happy passengers give out so-called Thank Yous. They grant extra time and serve as a progression system that unlocks, among other things, decorations and further variants of the game world.

Origins at Double Fine
Thank You Bus Driver is being developed at Double Fine Productions as a smaller project under the Double Fine Action Labs label. The idea grew out of the studio's internal Amnesia Fortnight format, in which teams prototype new game concepts within a short time.
