What is The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410?

The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 is a medieval simulation by Ashborne Games and THQ Nordic. From a craft workshop, a dynasty develops through trade, decisions and generations. Economic rise also includes influence over the city's politics.

The reinterpretation builds on Europa 1400: Die Gilde. Instead of controlling characters directly through daily life, businesses and social decisions are managed from a strategic bird's-eye view. The earlier project title was The Guild: Europa 1410.

Gameplay

The Guild 1 Remake combines economic simulation with long-term decisions for a family. A business of your own produces goods and is expanded with workers and further workshops. Unlike a direct character simulation, businesses and city processes are steered strategically from an overview.

Family and generational succession

The dynasty is more than a family name. Characters can marry, have children and pass their property on to the next generation. A single playthrough may therefore extend beyond an entire family life.

The player secures not only short-term income but also successors and social standing. Family, business and city politics interlock over the long term.

Power in the city

The game world lets its residents build social relationships and offices. As reputation grows, families gain influence over city projects, rules and infrastructure.

THQ Nordic also describes unfair political tactics as part of the simulation. Crucially, your dynasty does not only serve markets, but also tries to shape the framework conditions of economic competition.
