Trinity Trigger

Trinity Trigger is an action RPG with real-time combat. Cyan, Elise and Zantis travel through Trinitia. Eight switchable weapon types and the three playable characters shape the battles. Up to three people can experience the adventure in local co-op.

Trinity Trigger first launched in Japan on Sep 15, 2022 for PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. The PC version was released worldwide on Apr 25, 2023. In Europe, the console versions launched on May 16, 2023. iOS and Android followed on May 30, 2025. Trinity Trigger DX was released for Nintendo Switch 2 on Sep 14, 2026.

Trinity Trigger is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch 2. The Switch 2 version is called Trinity Trigger DX, includes additional episodes and equipment, and is a standalone product. Save games from the original Switch version are not compatible with the DX version. On PC there is local co-op and Steam Remote Play Together.

Combat takes place in real time. Players switch between eight weapon classes using a weapon wheel. The active character can also be swapped. Enemies have different weaknesses that can be exploited with matching equipment.

Trinity Trigger includes supplementary story episodes as well as weapon and item packs. The PC Deluxe Edition includes the Extra Episode Set and the Weapon Set. Additional stories cover the experiences of individual characters outside the main storyline.

For Windows, Trinity Trigger requires at least an Intel Core i5-6600, 4 GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 980. Recommended are a Core i7-7700, 8 GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 1650. Steam lists 3 GB of free storage and DirectX 11.

Cyan is destined to become a Warrior of Chaos. The gods of order and chaos have drawn the world of Trinitia into an ancient conflict. Together with Elise and Zantis, Cyan tries to escape its predestined fate.

Cyan, Elise and Zantis make up the playable party. In single-player, you can switch between the three characters. In local co-op, up to three people control the heroes together.

Trinitia combines forests, deserts, snowfields and ancient structures. Hidden paths and conversations with inhabitants hint at secrets. Remnants of huge divine weapons form the dungeons, known as Arma.

On PC and consoles, up to three people can play on one screen. On Nintendo Switch, each person needs a controller. The PC version offers Steam Remote Play Together, so a shared local session can also be shared over the internet.

Trinity Trigger DX was released on September 14, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2. Besides the main game, this version includes additional episodes, weapon packs and items. Save data from the older Switch version cannot be used in the DX edition.

Since May 30, 2025, Trinity Trigger has been available for iOS and Android. FuRyu publishes the mobile versions on the App Store and Google Play. It requires at least iOS 12 or Android 10. For Android, FuRyu lists 4 GB RAM.

The PC version has English and Japanese on-screen text. The voice audio is also available in English and Japanese. A German language version is not listed on Steam.
