What is TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3?
TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 is an officially licensed motorcycle racing game by Nacon Studio Milan (RaceWard Studio). The focus is the Tourist Trophy on the Isle of Man, with its narrow roads, long straights and demanding corners. Instead of choosing from a list of race tracks, players can freely explore the island's road network and train before the actual competitions.
The game combines single races, career, challenges and online competitions with the TT's licensed riders, teams and machines. It is a standalone series entry, not a track pack for the predecessor.

Gameplay
The focus is on precise braking, cornering lines and mastering powerful Superbike and Supersport machines. The player trains on freely drivable island roads, starts individual races or works through a longer career. Officially licensed motorcycles and riders recreate racing around the Isle of Man TT.
The open game world is used for learning tracks and finding challenges. Nacon describes the handling model as a demanding simulation. True mastery requires practice with the respective input device.

DLCs and expansions
Additional content is offered for the base game: the 2023 TT Races Roster expands the rider pool by eleven racers according to the manufacturer. The Career Starter Pack provides progression points for motorcycle parts; a special livery commemorates John McGuinness’ 100th TT start.
The Racing Fan Edition bundles the main game and selected add-on packs in one purchase. If you already own the base game, you should therefore consider extra content and the complete edition separately. The package is not a standalone sequel.

Over 200 kilometers of drivable roads
The original Mountain Course of the Isle of Man TT is over 60 kilometers long and has 264 corners. According to Nacon, the game also offers 32 track variants and more than 200 kilometers of roads. The third part introduces the freely drivable road network as a training area. This lets riders practice difficult sections repeatedly before starting a race.
The licensed rider lineup includes 38 starters: 21 from the Superbike class and 17 from the Supersport class. This is the official data set of the game, not an automatic depiction of every new TT season.

Multiplayer and platform limits
Steam supports online PvP. On Xbox, the game supports two to ten participants according to Microsoft, as well as cross-generation play between Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. PlayStation also lists an online mode. Online races may require the respective paid console memberships.
These details do not guarantee crossplay between all manufacturers. Without online players, you can explore tracks in single-player mode and play through the career.

German text and voice acting
Steam offers German menus, text and voice acting. PlayStation also lists German as a text and audio language. The detailed language list extends beyond that, from English and French to Japanese and Portuguese. Depending on the system, store details may differ.
The PC version partially supports controllers; special hardware for racing simulations is not automatically supported. Online play requires the respective network requirements of the system.

Career and motorcycle progression
In career mode, races and progression are spread across several competitions. Quick races and separate challenges are also available. The open island can be ridden freely, allowing training without a running scored race.
Motorcycles can be upgraded with parts such as brakes, tires, chassis and suspension. The optional Career Starter Pack provides extra points for this, but does not replace the standalone career of the main game.

Game series
Nacon Studio Milan, also known under its former name RaceWard Studio, is responsible for development. Nacon handles publishing. The title is the third standalone part of the motorcycle racing series based on the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy.
While earlier editions mainly presented the TT course as a race track, the third part makes a larger connected road network freely drivable. The official riders, teams and motorcycles come from the game's release context.
