UNDEFEATED: Genesis

UNDEFEATED: Genesis is a standalone open-world superhero action RPG from Indie-us Games and the opening chapter of a planned trilogy. You play Albert Hartree, who awakens with superhuman powers after a meteorite impact on the alien planet Voltissia.

Genesis expands the idea of the free original considerably: instead of a compact city sandbox, there is a connected science-fiction world, a new story and long-term character progression.

UNDEFEATED: Genesis is set to release in early 2027. An exact release date has not been announced yet.

Confirmed are PC via Steam and a native PlayStation 5 version. No other platforms have been officially announced so far.

The focus is on free flight, large-scale exploration and superpowers. Albert can fly through the world at high speed, attack from the air and unlock abilities that open up both new combat options and additional routes through the environment.

Enemies range from smaller creatures to much larger threats. Combat focuses on mobility, ranged attacks and powerful melee actions instead of a classic, ground-based action RPG format.

For 1080p at 30 fps on low settings, Steam lists at least an Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 1660 Super or Radeon RX 5600 XT. For 1080p/60 fps on medium settings, 32 GB RAM and an RTX 2060 Super or Radeon RX 6600 XT are among the recommendations.

Albert Hartree lands on Voltissia, an alien world whose earlier civilization was destroyed centuries ago. The few surviving Enelf are threatened by mutated creatures and other dangers.

Albert has to find out where his new powers come from and what role he plays in the planet's history. Genesis is planned as the opening chapter of a larger story.
