VOID DIVER: Escape from the Abyss

VOID DIVER: Escape from the Abyss is a 2.5D pixel art extraction action RPG from STUDIO NEMO. The city around the antiques shop BALUSHA has become a huge, anomalous dungeon. As a manager, you send so-called divers into the Abyss to recover artifacts, complete contracts and escape before death.

The basic idea combines extraction runs with action RPG combat, roguelite progression and shop management. Solo play is possible; the demo also supports cooperative runs with up to three players.

STUDIO NEMO has announced the full release of VOID DIVER for January 2027. An exact day will follow later. Originally, an early access start in 2026 was also planned, but the studio has dropped this interim step and wants to release a larger full version directly.

Currently confirmed is a PC version via Steam. No further platforms have been announced for the full release.

Each dive leads into a hostile zone with monsters, loot and mission objectives. Artifacts found are only safe if the diver extracts alive. With this, VOID DIVER combines classic action RPG combat with the risk of an extraction game.

The full version is meant to expand the story to its end, adding chapters, areas, monsters and bosses, and new playable divers. Each character gets their own Trait Trees, so the same diver can play differently with different skills, ultimates and variants.

The management side is also growing: VIP relationships, reworked negotiations, interior decoration, fishing and other mini-games are planned. NEMO STUDIO also names item locking, better filters, quick slot switching, backup functions, additional difficulty levels, controller auto-aim and Steam achievements as release goals.
