What is Wanderburg?
Wanderburg is a minimalist medieval action roguelike from Berlin studio Randwerk. You steer a castle on wheels through procedurally generated areas, collect resources and expand the fortress with new modules during a run.
The core idea combines vehicle control with roguelite progression: the castle grows over the course of a run, gains new upgrades and must use its movement and the arrangement of its modules sensibly.

Gameplay
The mobile fortress itself is at the heart of the game. During a run, you steer it through different areas, collect resources and build new modules at various positions on the castle.
Cannons, arcane towers and other siege modules change range, aim and gameplay. Between runs, additional vehicles, artifacts and captains are unlocked, so new combinations and strategies emerge.

Early Access development
Randwerk explicitly uses Early Access for joint balancing with the community. New content, additional variety and polish are meant to come from the builds and strategies players develop during live operation.
The current version is already considered a fully playable core of the project; the planned Early Access period of six to twelve months is a development forecast and not a firmly committed date for version 1.0.
