What is Wandering Sword?

Wandering Sword is a single-player role-playing game set in a world shaped by Chinese martial arts stories. You follow a young swordsman who, after a conflict between rival groups, looks for his own path through cities, mountains and remote regions. The presentation combines pixel characters with spatial environments. More important than a rigid class choice are the fighting styles, weapons and relationships you develop along the journey.

Turn-based or real-time combat

Battles take place on a grid that shows positioning and reach. In turn mode you plan movements and attacks one by one. In real-time mode, the same battle plays out more directly. Both variants use the abilities and weapons of your party, so you don't need to start a new save for each combat style.

Weapons and martial arts techniques

Alongside various weapon types, numerous external and internal martial arts techniques shape your character's build. Instead of relying only on rising damage values, you can combine movements and abilities from different schools. This expands options in tough encounters and when assembling a party.
