Wonderfall

Wonderfall is a single-player adventure set in an alternate Paris of the 1920s. A mysterious force called entropy causes buildings, streets and entire districts to crumble into sand. At its centre is the orphan boy Léon, who can himself influence sand and investigates the causes of the catastrophe.

The game combines third-person exploration with environmental puzzles, quiet story passages and occasional dangerous encounters.

Wonderfall releases on Dec 9, 2026 for PC via Steam. A playable demo is already available on Steam.

The developer and publisher is the French studio Attaboy Interactive.

Wonderfall is released for Windows PCs via Steam. The adventure is designed as a single-player campaign and supports Steam achievements and cloud saves.

On Steam, German on-screen text is listed. Voice acting is available in English.

The game world consists of transformed Parisian streets, crumbling buildings and collapsed paths. Léon searches for hidden passages, moves through ruins and solves puzzles to reach new parts of the city.

The focus is on observation and understanding the environment. Combat plays a smaller role than exploration and story.

Wonderfall requires Windows 10 or 11, 8 GB RAM, a Ryzen 3 3100 or Core i3-8100, and a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 570 as minimum. Recommended are 16 GB RAM and a GeForce RTX 3050 or Radeon RX 5600 XT.

For installation, Steam lists 1 GB of free storage and DirectX 11.

Léon can shape sand and use it to change parts of his surroundings. His abilities help him overcome obstacles, open new paths and dodge hostile creatures.

The sand powers are closely tied to environmental puzzles: progress comes not from collecting as many weapons as possible, but from skilfully using the environment.

The plot takes place mainly on the Île de la Cité. Locations include the area around Notre-Dame, sand-covered rooftops and damaged Métro tunnels. The Paris in the game is not a historical reconstruction but a city distorted by entropy.

In locked interiors and away from the main paths, you can find clues about how the catastrophe changed the city.

Léon's journey is told through conversations, cinematic scenes, found objects and the environment. Attaboy Interactive cites more than 2,000 lines of dialogue and a playtime of about six to eight hours.

The story deals with the aftermath of the collapse and the relationship between people and nature. The journey through Paris leads step by step to the origins of entropy.

Wonderfall is developed and published by Attaboy Interactive. The independent studio is based in Paris and focuses on locations, characters and atmospheric storytelling in this adventure.
