Peninsular War Battles for Android
Peninsular War Battles is a turn-based wargame about Napoleon’s campaign through Spain and Portugal. You command British, French and Spanish troops in tactical single-player battles. The zoomable map and different formations give you control over riflemen, cavalry and cannons.
Battles and additional campaigns
The Android download is free on Google Play but includes optional in-app purchases. The official store listing names five tutorial missions and three invasion battles as the game’s starting point. Separately sold eight-part campaigns are called Assault, Conquest, Engagement and Hammer. The content therefore differs from both the full PC version and the paid iOS app, which already lists Assault in its app description.
Formations and tactical decisions
Infantry fights in lines, marching columns or squares, while light troops can operate loosely. Artillery, cavalry and flank protection must work together to win historical battles. The Android version comes from Hunted Cow Studios and is available under the official Google Play package com.hexwar.peninsularwar. The interface is in English.
