Peninsular War Battles for iPhone and iPad
Peninsular War Battles takes you into the Napoleonic battles on the Iberian Peninsula. As a British, Spanish or French commander, you control infantry, cavalry and artillery on a tactical map. Terrain advantages, flanking attacks and formations decide how a battle turns out. The mobile version from HexWar Games is a turn-based single-player wargame for iOS.
Which missions are included?
The app includes a tutorial with five battles and an Invasion campaign with three missions, plus the eight scenarios of the Assault campaign. Additional packs Conquest, Engagement, Hammer and Terror are listed on the German App Store as separate in-app purchases. This means the mobile version’s content differs from the PC Steam game, which already sells its original campaigns together.
Historical formations on the touchscreen
Battles are fought in turns on a zoomable map. Line infantry, open skirmisher formations, squares against cavalry, and artillery with different ranges are central elements of battle planning.
