Crash Dive for iPhone and iPad is the original mobile submarine simulation from Panic Ensues Software. You command a German Type VII C U-boat during World War II and hunt Allied convoys in the North Atlantic. The game combines stealthy tactics, torpedo attacks and fast battles with controls designed specifically for touchscreens.
Through the Atlantic with torpedoes and decoys
Using the periscope and chart, you observe escorts, plan your attack position and evade enemy depth charges. After a successful torpedo hit, you can dive, deploy decoys or risk a second attack with the deck gun. Damage to individual sections of the boat affects its operational readiness.
Short missions or full patrols
Randomly generated convoys create changing situations. In War Patrol mode, you don’t interrupt the hunt after a single battle; instead, you try to sink as much enemy tonnage as possible on a longer patrol and bring your boat safely home. Tutorial, difficulty levels and cross-platform leaderboards complement the single-player campaign.
iOS version
The iOS app is the original, already released in June 2014, with an English user interface. It is sold separately on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad. The Steam edition released in 2015 is a separate PC purchase; Crash Dive 2 is a standalone sequel.
