de Blob for iPhone was a separately adapted mobile version of the colorful action puzzle game in 2008. Unlike the three-dimensional Wii version, the Universomo adaptation shows Chroma City mostly from a fixed top-down view: on the small touchscreen you roll the paint blob through streets and squares, paint gray buildings and fight off the henchmen of I.N.K.T. Corporation.
Mix colors and free the city
Missions require you to give certain buildings the right color. To do so, you soak up paint from puddles, combine hues and work your way through different city districts. Controlled by finger swipes or the iPhone’s tilt sensor. The gameplay follows the same idea as the console game, but is not an identical port of its 3D game world.
Historic iPhone release
THQ Wireless released the game developed by Universomo for iPhone and iPod touch in July 2008, before the Wii version. The App Store product number at the time was 285126469. This old iPhone app is no longer offered on the current App Store; it requires legacy iPhone software and is not available as a current iOS app.
