Cat-Astrophy is a space action roguelite about Polo the cat, who is stranded on an alien world and wants to recover his lost memories. On every expedition, he faces planets with different layouts, dangerous enemies and precise platforming sections. Between jumps, dodges and fights, you decide which routes and rewards are worth it.
The star cursor helps with targeted attacks. New modules change Polo’s abilities and allow different combinations. When a run ends, permanent upgrades unlocked with star fragments are kept for further attempts. The game combines this roguelite structure with lively pixel graphics and a story about Polo’s abduction.
Cat-Astrophy is set to release on Nintendo Switch on November 5, 2026, according to the US eShop. The version is playable in TV, tabletop and handheld mode with one player and supports cloud save data. Nintendo lists use on Switch 2 as a compatible Switch game, not as a standalone Switch 2 version.
