The Bridge is a hand-drawn physics and logic puzzle game in black and white. In rooms reminiscent of M. C. Escher’s impossible architecture, you guide a nameless figure to the exit. By rotating the entire game world, you change the direction of gravity: ceilings become floors and objects move along new paths.

Puzzles through perspective shifts

The game does without ordinary jumping sections. Instead, you tilt the levels, watch balls, doors and gravity whirlpools, and combine seemingly contradictory paths. A rewind function undoes mistakes so new solutions can be tried without frustration.

After completing the game, the 24 regular levels are supplemented by 24 more demanding alternative puzzles with a different ending. The detailed, hand-drawn lithograph design and calm single-player structure make The Bridge an unusual puzzle adventure.

The Nintendo Switch version

The native Switch version was released on Sep 7, 2017. According to Nintendo, it supports TV, tabletop and handheld modes as well as touch input. The German-language eShop page confirms a USK rating from age 0 and eleven display languages. An additional native Switch 2 version is therefore not documented; possible compatibility with Switch 2 does not mean a second game key.
