Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Reflex is the standalone Wii version of the 2007 first-person shooter classic. Treyarch brought the story created by Infinity Ward, with Captain Price, the British SAS and the US Marines, to Nintendo’s console. This Wii version was released on November 10, 2009, two years after the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.
Modern Warfare with the Wii Remote
You play the military campaign with missions in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. The version uses the Wii Remote and Nunchuk for movement and aiming. The presentation and controls were technically adapted for the Wii. Reflex is a native Wii game, not a game from another console started through backward compatibility.
Wii multiplayer mode and historical online features
At launch, the game offered online matches for up to ten people, plus local multiplayer. Controls also support the Wii Zapper. The official Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service has since been shut down, so the original online feature is not a guarantee of current server availability. In multiplayer, classes and unlocks follow the original.
Wii version and other versions
For the Wii, the base game was released under the official subtitle Reflex. It is not a Deluxe package with separately bundled bonus material. The core gameplay matches Call of Duty 4, but this native port was developed by Treyarch. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered from 2016, by contrast, is a standalone modernised re-release.
