MR. ELEVATOR: Puzzles behind every elevator door

In MR. ELEVATOR a talking elevator takes five people into a mysterious world. Each character pursues their own goal, but their experiences are connected. Behind the doors wait unusual rooms, puzzling objects and clues that can only be decoded by looking and listening closely. The Japanese adventure from GIFT TEN INDUSTRY focuses on exploration and puzzle solving instead of combat.

Puzzles through listening, seeing and trying things out

Many tasks revolve around sounds, pitches and rhythms. Voices from a radio, noises behind doors and abstract symbols together form the solution. You knock on walls, operate switches, examine found objects and even use both virtual hands separately. The characters bring different tools: a smartphone can record sounds, while a tool, for example, makes hidden screws accessible.

A quirky 3D world

The colorful, sharp-edged rooms recall drawings from an early PC paint program. Behind them lies a freely explorable three-dimensional environment with surreal landscapes, strange structures and ever new floors. The stories of the five characters ultimately lead to a shared ending. The game is especially suited to people who enjoy taking their time with independent problem-solving and unusual ideas.

PC version and language

The PC version was released on Steam on Oct 15, 2025 for Windows and macOS. It supports single player, controllers and Steam achievements. On Steam, English, Japanese, Korean, and simplified and traditional Chinese are listed with interface, voice and subtitles. A German translation is not listed there. Alongside the PC version, a native Nintendo Switch version exists; a separate release for PlayStation 5 has been announced.
