The Ash Remembers – Hero Background: The Ashen Fields is an optional, purely cosmetic add-on for the gloomy idle RPG The Ash Remembers. It unlocks the hero background The Ashen Fields. The image shows an ash-covered field, in whose cracks the embers of the first night still glow. You can display it in the hero view and on the battle card. Since update 1.8.2, the selected background is also visible in the armory.
Only the look changes
The DLC unlocks no additional abilities, items, combat bonuses or new game areas. It is an optional way to support the independent developer studio Veyr Works. After purchase, the background can be used in all ten save slots with the same Steam account.
Requires the full PC version of The Ash Remembers on Steam. The separately available cosmetic content was released on Oct 23, 2026 for Windows.
