Vitavania Original Soundtrack: The music for the fantasy adventure
The Vitavania Original Soundtrack is the music release for the hand-drawn Metroidvania Vitavania sold separately on Steam. The compositions come from solo developer Boris Gandrabura and add dreamy, mystical sounds to the story of the cat heroine.
30 tracks between organ sounds and fantasy
The official track list includes 30 pieces. Among them are themes such as Song of Life, Underwater, Ashen Garden, Labyrinth and The Secret of the Red Mountains. Gandrabura describes the music as unusually orchestrated: organs and church-like tones shape many compositions. The tracks are meant to convey feelings of longing, light and fantasy.
Separate Steam music item instead of a second game version
The soundtrack has its own Steam Music product ID (4345120) and is listed alongside the main game. It does not include a standalone playable Vitavania version and so should not be confused with a Deluxe or complete edition. Steam so far only shows Coming soon and no binding release date. For the music files, the platform lists 150 MB of free storage.
Verdict
The Vitavania soundtrack is for anyone who wants to hear the game’s fairytale pieces apart from the adventure. The standalone music release complements the main game without adding new levels or mechanics.
