Hillys: A reporter against the propaganda
In Beyond Good & Evil (2003) you play as reporter Jade. On the planet Hillys, threatened by the alien race DomZ, the Alpha Sections claim to protect the population. But mysterious attacks and vanished residents make Jade doubt the official version. Together with her adoptive uncle Pey’j and the resistance of the IRIS organization, she searches for evidence of a huge conspiracy.
Camera, stealth and combat
Jade explores cities, hidden facilities and coastal landscapes. With her camera she documents animal species and collects evidence photos, while her Daï-Jo staff helps in fights. Stealth sections, puzzles, hovercraft races and adventure segments interlock. Companions such as Pey’j and Double H support the reporter at key moments.
Distinguish the original game from later remasters
This is the original action-adventure from Ubisoft Montpellier, not any of the reworked re-releases. The standalone HD version for PS3 and Xbox 360 came out in 2011, and the 20th Anniversary Edition in 2024, which expands the technology and content. The versions share story and characters, but they are not just paid Deluxe packs of the original program.
