Max Payne on PlayStation 2
The PS2 version of Max Payne brings the dark 2001 action thriller to Sony’s second console. As an undercover cop falsely accused of murder, Max follows trails through snowy New York that lead to the mafia and a larger conspiracy. Comic-style cutscenes and a cynical inner monologue carry the film noir story.
Bullet Time with controller
You play from a third-person shoulder view, fighting your way through linear missions with changing firearms. Bullet Time slows down gunfights, lets you aim at enemies more precisely and perform dodge jumps. The console version adapts the mechanics originally designed for mouse and keyboard to gamepad controls.
Original version and later re-release
