Splinter Cell: Stealth action with Sam Fisher

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell tells the beginnings of secret agent Sam Fisher. As a member of the covert NSA unit Third Echelon, he must uncover a threatening political conspiracy and infiltrate heavily guarded locations. Rather than storming in with guns, he uses shadows, sound and the movement patterns of his enemies.

Infiltration instead of open firefights

Sam has night vision and thermal imaging camera, silenced weapons, camera gadgets and other spy tools. Guards can be bypassed, distracted or taken out unnoticed. The varying visibility and noise conditions of the levels are crucial, because in the light Sam is spotted much faster. Alongside tension, exploration, timing and precise planning take center stage.

The version on this console

The console adaptation was released in 2003 and was adapted to the respective hardware compared with the original Xbox version, which came out first. Content and mission sections partly differ from the other versions, while the main Third Echelon story is retained. The later Xbox One and Xbox Series availability of the original Xbox game is backward compatibility only and not further native re-releases.
