Windbound – Ancestral Gear is a separately sold equipment pack for the Xbox One version of the survival adventure Windbound. It contains three items that recall the story of Kara’s tribe and their ancestors’ seafaring: the Ancestral Garb, the Ancestral Paddle and the Ancestral Knife.
The legacy of Kara’s ancestors
The traditional clothing has been passed down through generations. The saltwater-resistant paddle recalls the old voyages across the sea, while the knife, with its glowing sea shards, still serves as a sharp blade long after. The set changes Kara’s equipment but adds no new campaign and no standalone game.
Xbox One add-on
The paid DLC was released on Oct 27, 2020 and requires the separately sold Xbox One base game. According to Microsoft Store, the content can also be used on Xbox Series X|S together with the backward-compatible Xbox One version; this is not a separate native Xbox Series release.
