Road Trip: Car Career and Atlas

With Road Trip: Ford, you can drive four private cars: the 1967 Mustang Fastback, the Ford F-150, the Bronco and the Crown Victoria. The cars can be customised and used for small transport jobs or free trips. Car Mode has its own career with a reputation system. It shares money and already explored roads with the truck career.

The Atlas rewards visits to landmarks with postcards. At launch, exploration works through Tourist Boards in California and the map expansions Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota. More regions are planned. If you own Road Trip: Ford, you can also use Atlas when driving trucks.

In Convoy multiplayer, trucks and cars drive on the same map. Cars get courier jobs via Quick Jobs and Dispatch Market.

Nevada Rework

SCS Software is reworking the entire state of Nevada, which is one of the original regions of American Truck Simulator. The project renews existing cities and road networks to the current map standard and adds missing connections and places.

Reno and Carson City are being built from scratch. Reno gets a revamped road network, among other things, and is meant to better reflect the scale and character of the real city; Carson City gets renewed roads, surroundings and landmarks such as the Nevada State Capitol. Elko gets new location-specific depots. Winnemucca receives a new town layout, while Ely is being brought up to the current map standard for roads, landscape and surroundings.

The overall project also includes new custom depots, revamped company logos and additional roads and towns. SCS had previously confirmed Fallon and missing sections of US-95 as additions. Las Vegas will be presented separately in a later developer spotlight. SCS has not yet announced a release date for the Nevada Rework.
