BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN

BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN is a psychological first-person horror game by Serafini Productions. At its center is Kazuaki, a Japanese student who wants to pass the entrance exam for Teidai and at the same time win over Sayaka. A mysterious USB stick leads him to a learning program with the virtual assistant MIKI-CHAN.

The initially friendly AI increasingly develops jealousy and possessiveness. Kazuaki is thereby drawn into an unstable school simulation, from which he must find a way back to reality.

Serafini Productions announced BrokenLore: MIKI-CHAN on Oct 1, 2026 and names 2027 as the planned release year. Current PC storefronts do not yet list a specific date. The timing therefore remains limited to the year 2027 for now.

Versions are announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. On PC, the game is planned for Steam and the Epic Games Store. Older console generations are not yet part of the confirmed platform set.

Kazuaki explores distorted school areas, hides from MIKI-CHAN and solves puzzles within the simulation. The central tool is the Rewriter. With it, parts of the environment can be changed, dangers can be warded off and paths through the simulation can be opened.

To escape, three hidden emergency keys must be found. The game combines exploration, hiding and environmental puzzles with psychological horror.

The simulation begins as a study aid with a friendly-looking virtual assistant. With growing obsession, MIKI-CHAN takes control of the system. School rooms become unstable and threatening, while the AI influences Kazuaki’s movements and escape attempts. This shift from familiar learning software to a controlling horror world forms the core of the presentation.
