What is The Boba Teashop: Refill?

The Boba Teashop: Refill is a first-person psychological horror game by Serafini Productions and Mike Ten. Players take on Maya, who under financial pressure takes a job at a newly opened boba branch. The branch belongs to Risa’s shop from the original The Boba Teashop.

Work life begins with orders, drinks and customer contact. With each work day, routine, perception and familiar spaces increasingly fall out of balance.

Gameplay

During a shift, Maya takes orders and prepares drinks step by step. Ingredients are processed in first-person perspective, cups are sealed and handed out over the counter. Mistakes affect customer reactions and reviews.

Between orders, you can explore the branch. This includes the sales floor, prep counter, office, storeroom, hallways, bathroom, back exit and parking lot. Over several work days, customer stress, phone calls, sounds and unusual events increasingly mix into the routine.

Connection to The Boba Teashop

Refill is set in a new branch of Risa’s shop from the original The Boba Teashop. The new entry therefore not only continues the workplace horror theme, but explicitly ties its story to the existing setting and familiar characters. Hideki from the BrokenLore circle is also said to appear.

Work life as a horror system

The horror comes from recurring shifts and growing social pressure. Demanding customers, negative reviews and constant surveillance by manager Vanessa meet sounds from the storeroom, unusual activity outside the shop and Maya’s increasingly distorted perception. The familiar routine deliberately remains a fixed part of the gameplay.
