Castlevania: Belmont's Curse

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is a new exploration-based 2D action game from KONAMI and Evil Empire, with advisory involvement from Motion Twin. The story is set in Paris in 1499, 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse. The focus is on Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont, who fights her way with the holy whip Vampire Killer through the city haunted by monsters and Dracula's castle.

The official launch took place on October 15, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. Steam lists October 14 for the PC version instead.

The Standard Edition contains the main game. The Midnight Edition adds a digital sound and art gallery, alternative costumes and a relic.

The game has been released for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. According to the manufacturer, the Switch version runs at 30 frames per second, the other versions at 60.

The game combines classic Castlevania exploration with faster, more agile whip action. Rose can use the Vampire Killer not only in combat but also to move through the environment. Defeated bosses are sealed in tarot cards and become Arcana that grant new spells and special actions. There are also weapons from seven categories and relics with offensive and defensive effects, which allow different builds to be assembled.

No standalone story DLC has been announced for launch. The Midnight Edition bundles the main game with a digital Sound & Art Gallery and several in-game bonuses, including alternative costumes. On Nintendo Switch, the Digital Sound & Art Gallery is also listed separately as additional content.

On PC, the minimum configuration requires Windows 11, an Intel Core i5-8400, 16 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 1650, DirectX 11 and currently 10 GB of free storage space. Recommended are an Intel Core i5-10400 and a GeForce RTX 3060 with 16 GB RAM.

Konami's general product overview lists a size of 8 GB for the Standard Edition. Steam currently requires 10 GB of free storage for installation.

The free demo includes the opening sections. According to Konami, save data can be transferred to the full version if the demo and main game are used on the same platform and with the same user account.

This requires the save to be kept and the full version to be up to date. Cross-platform transfer is not promised under these terms.
