Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless

Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless is a turn-based tactics RPG by Nippon Ichi Software. Fuji and Pirilika team up in the demon realm of Hinomoto. Over 40 classes, special abilities and the development of your own party shape the battles.

Disgaea 7 released on Oct 3, 2023 for PC and on Oct 6, 2023 in Europe for PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. In North America, the console versions also launched on Oct 3. The original Japanese release came out in January 2023.

Disgaea 7 Complete was released later as a standalone version for Switch 2.

Disgaea 7 was released natively for PC, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. On PC, mouse, keyboard and controller are supported. Disgaea 7 Complete is a separate version for Nintendo Switch 2.

Disgaea 7 offers turn-based tactics on contained battlefields. Positioning, character classes and special abilities shape the battles. After each battle, your party can be developed with better equipment and new abilities.

Disgaea 7 offers seven extra episodes and more character packs.

The PC version requires Windows 10 or 11, at least 4 GB RAM and 11 GB of free storage. Steam lists a GeForce GT 1030 as the graphics card.

Fuji and Pirilika travel through the demon realms of Hinomoto and oppose the rule of Demmodore Opener. While Fuji has little regard for the samurai ideals, Pirilika is enthusiastic about the tradition of Bushido.

The story of Disgaea 7 is played alone. Players can also compare their assembled teams in online ranked battles.

Disgaea 7 does not offer German text. The European Switch version supports English, French and Japanese. The PC adds further Asian text languages. English and Japanese are available as voice acting.

Item Reincarnation lets you develop equipment further. As a result, optimising your gear remains an important part of progress.

After clearing a map, Disgaea 7 can unlock automatic replays. New maps must first be completed normally.

The Steam version supports 4K, ultrawide monitors, mouse and keyboard. The 16:10 format of the Steam Deck is also supported.

Jumbification enlarges characters for special attacks on the battlefield. It adds to Disgaea 7's classic turn-based combat system.

Disgaea 7 Complete was released for Nintendo Switch 2 on Oct 10, 2025. The version includes the original game with all additional content, plus a new story featuring Asagi.
