What is Disney Dreamlight Valley?
Disney Dreamlight Valley combines life simulation, adventure and extensive customization systems in a world with Disney and Pixar characters. Players rebuild the valley, unlock new realms and continue friendship quest series with the residents.
The ongoing gameplay includes exploration, collecting, gardening, fishing, cooking, crafting and decorating. Houses, paths, landscape elements and your own avatar can be extensively customized.

Release
Disney Dreamlight Valley launched in early access on Sep 6, 2022 and was released as a full version on Dec 5, 2023. On Mar 25, 2026, a standalone Nintendo Switch 2 Edition followed.

Gameplay
Residents from Disney and Pixar worlds bring their own quest lines, rewards and friendship levels. Players collect resources, grow crops, fish, cook and craft to develop the valley and their own homes.
World customization is a core part of the game: biomes can be rebuilt with buildings, furniture, paths and landscape elements; clothing and the avatar can also be customized.

DLCs and expansions
The Storybook Vale was released on Nov 20, 2024 and adds new biomes, characters, quest lines and the Royal Net. Wishblossom Ranch was released on Nov 19, 2025 and introduces, among other things, ranch areas, horses and riding.
Honeyglow Woods followed on Jul 8, 2026 as an adventure pack centered on Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore and Piglet. It adds its own areas and the permanent Beekeeping system. A Rift in Time also remains available as a major expansion.

Valley Visits and multiplayer
Through the Valley Visit Station, players can visit other players' valleys. Steam describes visits with up to three other players; Nintendo offers the Switch 2 Edition with online support for two to four players.
Visits let you swap resources and explore designed valleys together.

Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
The native Switch 2 Edition was released on Mar 25, 2026. Nintendo cites faster loading times, higher resolution, a smoother frame rate of up to 60 FPS and an increased item limit of 6,000 objects as the main differences from the original Switch version.
