Gameplay

DOOM Eternal builds on the fast arena combat of its predecessor and ties resources directly to offensive actions. Glory Kills restore health, the flamethrower generates armor and the chainsaw provides ammo. Double jump, dash and climbing elements make mobility a core part of combat and exploration.

Many enemies have targeted, destructible weak points. This creates a combat rhythm of positioning, weapon switching, resource management and prioritizing individual threats.

BATTLEMODE

BATTLEMODE is the asymmetric online multiplayer of DOOM Eternal. Two players take on the role of demons while a third plays as the Slayer. The mode uses the same core movement and combat systems as the campaign, but adds team abilities and a round format for the two opponents.

On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, BATTLEMODE supports cross-gen matches within the same console family.
