The distinctive graphics

Like its predecessor, Ecstatica II uses ellipsoid 3D models. Characters and monsters are made of soft-looking shapes instead of the angular polygon bodies common at the time.

The sequel expands this technology with larger locations and more elaborate animations. The original presentation includes more than 1,100 hand-set camera angles.

Weapons, magic and enemies

The sequel focuses more on direct combat than the first part. Eight weapons and two magic staffs are part of the gear. Potions and spells help the hero against different creatures.

The publisher describes more than 60 enemy types. Their encounters can vary between playthroughs.
