Farming Simulator 25

Landwirtschafts-Simulator 25 is a business and vehicle simulation by GIANTS Software. You take over a farm, work fields, look after animals and run forestry. With the proceeds from harvests and production, you fund new machines, buildings and land.

Landwirtschafts-Simulator 25 was released on Nov 12, 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A macOS version is also available. Highlands Fishing added a new region and fish farming to the game in 2025. Beans & Alpacas releases on Oct 27, 2026.

The main game is available for Windows PC, macOS, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Farming Simulator: Signature Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 is a standalone title with a different scope. Backward compatibility and related editions do not mean that a native Switch 2 version of Landwirtschafts-Simulator 25 exists.

You prepare fields, sow different crops, tend the plants and harvest with suitable machines. Livestock, logging and building production chains are also part of it. Running costs and investments determine when a purchase is worth it. You can choose for yourself which tasks take priority.

Highlands Fishing adds a landscape and fish farming as a new economic activity. Beans & Alpacas releases on Oct 27, 2026 with the South American map Catuaí, coffee and banana plantations, alpacas and additional vehicles. The new expansion is available separately or as part of the Year 2 Season Pass.

On Windows, the game requires at least 8 GB RAM, a Core i5-6400 or Ryzen 5 1400, and a GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 470. Recommended are 12 GB RAM, a Core i7-10700 or Ryzen 7 3800X, and an RTX 2070 or comparable graphics card. At least 50 GB of free storage is required for installation.

The base game offers a North American region with grain silos and rivers, a Central European landscape and an East Asian map with rice paddies. The different plots affect work routes and vehicle choice. Large expansions add more areas.

The base game includes 25 crops, including rice, spinach, peas and green beans. Rice grows in purpose-built, irrigated fields. The Beans & Alpacas expansion brings coffee and bananas with different requirements for growing and harvesting.

Alongside cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and horses, goats and water buffalo are also part of the game. Young animals expand livestock farming. Beans & Alpacas adds Brahman cattle and alpacas. Keeping them is linked to producing new products.

More than 400 vehicles and machines from over 150 manufacturers are available in the base game. Tractors, seed drills, forage harvesters and transport equipment serve different tasks. GPS-assisted steering makes it easier to drive precise lines. Expansions add more specialist machines.

Tornadoes and hail can affect planning on the farm. Vehicles leave tracks in the deformable ground. Weather and soil conditions are therefore among the long-term decisions in fieldwork.

Landwirtschafts-Simulator 25 supports cooperative online play. Several players can run a farm and split tasks on fields, with animals or in transport. The available player count and supported connection types differ by platform.

Additional machines, maps and other player-created content can be downloaded via the ModHub. GIANTS Software offers an integrated selection for this. Which mods are usable depends on the platform and the respective approvals.

Catuaí is a new South American map in the Beans & Alpacas expansion. Plantations, hills and farmland shape its landscape. Coffee growing and banana processing require new equipment combinations and work steps. The new animal species are also used on the map.
