Gameplay

Players take on jobs for one of several factions on Lamang. Exploration, tactical firefights, recovering gear and trading with traders are interlinked. Your choice of cover, shooting distance, weapon attachments and medical care affects every mission.

Unlike a pure arena shooter, returning with secured loot is part of the flow. The map contains military posts, settlements, jungle areas and hard-to-reach facilities with enemies of varying danger.

PvE, PvP and shared missions

Joint Operations is designed for fights against computer-controlled enemies. Warfare adds encounters between players. Both modes allow teams to work together.

Since version 0.5, the choice between PvE and PvEvP is tied to each character. Players who want to play both variants can use different characters for this.

Multiple characters and factions

An account can have four playable characters. Each character has its own name and a fixed combination of faction and game mode. The same combination cannot be used for two characters at the same time.

When transferring from earlier versions, the previous faction and the progress of the transferred character are kept. New characters can start with their own progress.

Upgrading your shelter

An upgradable shelter complements missions on Lamang. It contains a lab, an electronics workshop and a utility room. Each of the three areas has several upgrade levels.

The lab produces medical products and substances for trader jobs. The workshop breaks down and processes electronic components. The utility room supplies power to the other areas. Players must find the required materials outside or obtain them through jobs.

Crafting and electronic locks

Parts you find are no longer only for selling. They can be broken down into materials and crafted into tools using unlocked recipes. A new hacking tool can be crafted in three tiers and opens access to electronically secured areas.

Crafting processes complement trader jobs and make finding specific parts a goal in its own right alongside combat.

Smuggling and hunting

Smuggling jobs and hunting expand the ways to earn money and reputation on Lamang. Different traders request different goods or materials. Your decisions can improve or worsen your relationship with individual traders.

The new activities are linked to upgrading your shelter: goods produced in the lab can play a role in matching smuggling jobs.

Lamang and new locations

The island of Lamang consists of settlements, jungle, military facilities and restricted areas. Among the more demanding locations since version 0.5 are Lakevale Sanctuary, Northern Reach and the RLSL-1 radio station. In addition, there are smaller areas with temple ruins, underground passages and hidden huts.

New interaction options such as electronic doors, environmental hazards and traps change how players explore and enter certain locations.
