Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is a new science fiction adventure from Naughty Dog. The studio has been developing the new franchise since 2020 for PlayStation 5 and describes it as a character-driven story with particularly ambitious gameplay.

Intergalactic was announced on Dec 12, 2024. Naughty Dog has not yet given a release date or release window. On Sep 28, 2026, the studio clarified that it will largely stay quiet for the rest of the year and will fully reveal the game in 2027.

Only a version for PlayStation 5 has been confirmed so far. Naughty Dog has not announced other platforms.

Naughty Dog has not yet shown the core gameplay system in detail. Studio head Neil Druckmann describes Intergalactic as the studio's deepest gameplay to date and announced a much more comprehensive look for 2027. Specific mechanics beyond the material shown so far have not been confirmed.

The story centers on bounty hunter Jordan A. Mun. She is stranded on Sempiria, a distant planet whose contact with the rest of the universe was cut off centuries ago. According to Naughty Dog, no one who has visited Sempiria has returned in more than 600 years; Jordan tries to break this isolation.

Tati Gabrielle plays Jordan A. Mun. The soundtrack is composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Naughty Dog plans to introduce further members of the ensemble in more detail at a later date.
