What is Death Stranding 2: On the Beach?
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is the sequel to the action-adventure from Kojima Productions. Once again you step into the role of courier Sam Porter Bridges, who connects isolated people and facilities via the chiral network. After the events of the first game, the journey with the organization DRAWBRIDGE first takes him to Mexico and then to Australia.
Cargo transport, a vast landscape and the building of shared infrastructure remain at the core. New tools, vehicles, weapons and enemies change the routes through a world where natural disasters and supernatural threats play a role at all times.

Gameplay
In Death Stranding 2 you plan delivery routes through Australia, transport cargo and build connections between settlements. Heavy loads affect Sam's mobility. Steep slopes, rivers and rough terrain make transport harder. Vehicles and tools open up alternative routes.
New weapons and additional combat options make it more often possible to choose between sneaking and direct confrontation. Earthquakes, sandstorms, wildfires and the dangerous time rain also affect the journey. Sam works with the members of DRAWBRIDGE.

Build together, without playing together
The Social Strand System makes structures and aids from other players usable in your own world. Bridges, roads and equipment can ease transport even though the story is played alone. You can build facilities yourself and indirectly help other couriers.
This form of connection does not replace a co-op mode with jointly controlled characters. It is meant to strengthen the feeling that many individual journeys gradually form a shared network of routes.

What dangers await in Australia?
Earthquakes, sandstorms, wildfires and timefall change the conditions on Sam's delivery routes. A route that seems safe at first can become risky due to weather or enemies. Terrain and equipment must therefore work together.
Alongside natural hazards, Sam faces human enemies and phenomena connected to the Death Stranding. Vehicles, protective gear and new tools help him cross dangerous areas.
