What is KAELIS: Seraph Protocol?
KAELIS: Seraph Protocol is a story-focused science fantasy JRPG from YoshiYoshi Studio. At its center is Kaito, who becomes the Executor of Serenos Academy in the last city of Kaelis and, together with its Guardians, investigates so-called Noise anomalies.
The game combines Academy life and relationships with exploration, investigations and turn-based battles. Decisions are meant to change not only dialogue, but also relationships and the course of individual cases.

Gameplay
Battles are turn-based, with up to four active Guardians. Characters and enemies belong to one of eight Lumina spectrums, each with its own strengths, weaknesses and reactions. If you recognize a Noise enemy's traits, you can set up the right group and unlock additional coordinated attacks through deeper relationships.
As Executor, Kaito seals defeated Noise Cores. Back at Serenos Academy, these can be analyzed and used for Lumina Discs, upgrades and developing the Guardians. The Academy is divided into Strike, Record, Harmony and Veritas.
A second focus is decisions. The Armillary Sphere turns key moments into a dice roll, whose conditions are influenced by, among other things, relationships, discoveries and earlier field decisions. In between, Kaito explores the city, holds conversations and investigates individual Noise cases.
