LEGO Jurassic World
LEGO Jurassic World retells the stories of Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Jurassic Park III and Jurassic World as a humorous LEGO action adventure. Puzzles, character abilities, freely explorable island areas and dinosaurs you assemble yourself define the game. Alongside the original 2015 versions, mobile versions and a standalone Nintendo Switch version came later.

What is LEGO Jurassic World?
LEGO Jurassic World retells the stories of Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Jurassic Park III and Jurassic World as an action-adventure. TT Games combines well-known film locations with exploration, puzzles and playable dinosaurs. The LEGO take plays with humour and focuses less on simulation than on character abilities, collection tasks and free play.

Platforms
Native versions are confirmed for PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android. Handheld versions and mobile ports may differ from the major console versions in game content and controls.
Microsoft now also lists the Xbox One game as playable on Xbox Series X|S. This is backward compatibility, but not an additional native Series release. The Switch listing also does not justify a Switch 2 version without a separate announcement. When buying, the actual platform of the specific version therefore counts.
The Wii U and 3DS stores are also an example of permanently changed availability: Nintendo ended new purchases in the eShop for these two systems on Mar 27, 2023. This is a store shutdown, not a statement that existing game copies stop working.

Gameplay
The adventure combines scenes from four Jurassic films with typical LEGO tasks. Playable characters and dinosaurs have different abilities that are used when exploring the locations. Collectibles, the selection of other characters and additional challenges make even completed areas interesting again.
The flow alternates between more guided film chapters and free exploration. The plot is told in humorous LEGO sequences, while the game itself focuses on accessible action, small puzzles and discovering hidden possibilities. It is not a realistic park management simulation.

DLCs and expansions
Three add-on packs released on Steam on June 12, 2015. The Jurassic World DLC Pack adds park vehicles and an alternative look for Owen Grady, among other things. Two Jurassic Park Trilogy DLC Packs add further film characters and vehicles, such as Eric and Paul Kirby or Ian Malcolm's convertible.
These packs expand the character and vehicle selection. They are not standalone games and require the base game on Steam. The general content of the four film campaigns is already part of the main release.

System requirements
The minimum PC configuration on Steam requires an Intel Core 2 Duo or comparable AMD dual-core processor, 2 GB RAM, a GeForce 7600 GS or Radeon 1950 with 256 MB VRAM, DirectX 10 and 10 GB free storage. The store lists a quad-core Intel i5, 4 GB RAM and a GTX 480 or Radeon HD 5850 as a stronger configuration.
The original description lists historical Windows versions going back as far as XP. This does not mean the current Steam client still supports these operating systems. Since 2024, Steam requires Windows 10 or newer. Console and mobile requirements cannot be derived from the PC data.
The details apply to PC (Windows, Steam).

Control dinosaurs and combine your own species
Apart from the human characters, dinosaurs are the focus. The official PC and console descriptions list 20 playable species, including Triceratops, Raptor, Compy and Tyrannosaurus rex. The characters differ not only visually but also open up more options for playing and exploring.
Collected LEGO amber is used to unlock DNA and put together unusual dinosaur combinations. The creatures can be used in designated areas of the island world. The iOS and Android listings, by contrast, mention 16 dinosaurs. This difference is part of each version's content and should be considered when comparing editions.

Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna outside the film chapters
Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna are more than backdrops for the film scenes. After and during the campaign, areas can be revisited, optional tasks completed and your dinosaur collection put to use. New character abilities can open up paths or collectibles that were not reachable on the first playthrough.
The game therefore offers a recurring switch between story missions and free exploration. If you only want to experience the film plots, you can follow the main missions. If you want to unlock as much as possible, revisit the island areas and experiment with the available characters and dinosaurs.

Mobile versions for iPhone, iPad and Android
Warner Bros. also brought the LEGO adventure to iOS and Android in 2016. Apple's version history lists Mar 30, 2016 as the first release. Both app stores confirm the adaptation of the four film stories and the dinosaur collection with 16 instead of 20 creatures. The mobile versions are standalone products and cannot be exchanged with a PC or console key.
Later store updates document adjustments to newer mobile operating systems. Cross-platform syncing of existing save games is not promised. For device requirements and controls, the respective app store listings remain authoritative.

Two players on one console
On Nintendo Switch and Xbox One, LEGO Jurassic World supports local play for two people. Both stores list the corresponding multiplayer feature. The LEGO website also describes how a second person can easily join a console game already in progress. This is not proof of online crossplay.

Game series
The game is a standalone LEGO adaptation of the first four cinema films and belongs to the larger Jurassic universe. It was developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment under the relevant brand licences. Instead of running a theme park, players experience the film moments as a puzzle and action adventure.
The name LEGO Jurassic World refers to the main game released in 2015, including later ports. It should not be confused with standalone titles such as Jurassic World Evolution or a new Jurassic film release.
