LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is an open-world action-adventure by TT Games. The story begins with Bruce Wayne's training with the League of Shadows and follows his path to becoming the Batman of Gotham City. The game combines characters and themes from different Batman eras with LEGO humour.

The Standard Edition launched worldwide on May 22, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The native Nintendo Switch 2 version followed on Sep 18, 2026. The Mayhem Collection, an expansion of the Deluxe content, was released on the same day.

Native versions exist for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. Warner Bros. Games does not offer a PS4, Xbox One or Switch 1 version. On Switch 2, the game supports local 1–2 players, touchscreen features, HDR on compatible displays, surround sound and cloud saves.

The combat system combines combos with stealth techniques and detective abilities. Gotham City can be explored with the grapple hook, glide, Batmobile and Batcycle. Crimes, challenges, secrets and iconic locations such as Arkham Asylum, Ace Chemicals and Wayne Tower form lasting activities in the open world.

The Deluxe Edition and the separately sold Deluxe Edition Upgrade bundle the Legacy Collection with the Arkham Trilogy Pack, Batman Beyond Pack and Party Music Pack, as well as the Mayhem Collection. The latter adds Joker and Harley Quinn as playable characters, a new story mission, Mayhem Mode, extra suits, Batcave items and a Batmobile.

For Windows 11, Steam lists a minimum of an Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600, 16 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 960 with 4 GB, Radeon RX 6400 with 4 GB or Intel Arc A580 with 8 GB, plus 50 GB storage. Recommended are a Core i7-12700 or Ryzen 7 5800X and an RTX 2070 SUPER, RX 6650 XT or Intel Arc B580.

The campaign can be played locally with two people. One player takes on Batman while the second joins as one of his allies. Warner Bros. Games explicitly lists local two-player co-op as a core part of the full game.

The Batcave serves as the central base. There you can upgrade gadgets and abilities, view trophies and case files, and customize areas with collected items. In addition, numerous Batsuits and vehicles from different Batman eras are available.

Gotham City is designed as a single, connected open world. Alongside the main story, players can discover crimes, challenges, secrets and rewards and visit well-known places such as Arkham Asylum, Iceberg Lounge, Haly’s Circus, Botanical Gardens, Gotham Museum, Ace Chemicals and Wayne Tower.
