Luma Island

Luma Island is a cozy farming, crafting and exploration adventure from Feel Free Games for one to four players. You start with an old caravan and a run-down farm, expand your home, choose professions, collect the namesake Lumas and explore an island with villages, caves, temples, puzzles and hidden treasures.

The game deliberately combines relaxed routines such as farming, fishing and decorating with longer exploration trips and lighter adventure gameplay. There is no stamina bar and no tight inventory limits, so you can freely switch the rhythm between farm life and expeditions.

Luma Island was released for PC on Nov 20, 2024. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions release on Dec 2, 2026. With the console launch, online co-op across all three platforms for up to four people also begins.

The free pirate adventure has been expanding the game since June 2025 with new areas, tasks and the shipbuilder profession.

Luma Island is available for Windows PC via Steam and releases on Dec 2, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Afterwards, up to four people can play together across platforms.

An existing PC game world can still be used when friends join from a console. Your own save game, however, cannot be transferred from PC to PlayStation or Xbox.

On the island, farming, animal husbandry, fishing, mining, crafting and treasure hunting alternate with exploration. Eight professions have their own progression paths and tools, while caves, temples, forests, mountains and jungles offer additional resources, puzzles and hidden areas.

Three difficulty levels – Cozy, Adventure and Hero – determine how demanding the journey is. In Cozy mode, there is no combat unless you trigger it yourself. Adventure and Hero increase the gameplay pressure.

Luma Island: Pirates was released on June 20, 2025 as a free expansion. The pirate adventure leads to Pirate Cove with new temples, traps, treasures and mini-games. A changed map helps you find caves, characters and tasks.

An eighth profession joins with the shipbuilder. Players build ship parts and restore an old pirate galleon. There are also more Lumas with their own abilities, additional clothing and new ways to decorate the farm.

For the Steam version, Feel Free Games lists at least Windows 10 (64-bit), an Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 1060 or equivalent GPU, DirectX 11 and 7 GB of free storage. Recommended are an Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti or equivalent, and 12 GB of storage.

From Dec 2, 2026, up to four people can play Luma Island together on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. An existing PC game world remains accessible to console friends. Transferring your own save game between Steam, PlayStation and Xbox is not supported.

In shared games, you can share resources, complete tasks and advance building projects. Online features require a platform account and an internet connection.

The pirate adventure uses its own save game and starts with new progress. Existing save games of the original Luma Island remain playable in the classic version.

Certain items, Lumas, pets, tools and money can be transferred to a new Pirates save game. Quests and building projects still restart there. By selecting the classic version of the game, players can return to their original adventure.

Luma Island offers eight professions, each with its own tools and progression paths. These include fishing, cooking, smithing, treasure hunting and shipbuilding, which is introduced with Pirates.

The namesake Lumas accompany players on their exploration and can help with gathering resources or other tasks, depending on their type. On the farm, materials you find can be processed into buildings, items and upgrades.
