What is Marvel Rivals?

Marvel Rivals is a free third-person hero shooter from NetEase Games. In 6-vs-6 matches, well-known heroes and villains from the Marvel Universe face off against each other. Each character brings their own attacks, roles and special abilities; certain combinations unlock additional team-up abilities.

The game focuses on short PvP matches and is expanded by season with new characters, maps and other content. Many arenas are partly destructible, so cover, lines of sight and routes can change during a fight.

Gameplay

Marvel Rivals combines third-person shooter combat with a large roster of characters whose abilities respond strongly to team compositions. Special Team-Up Skills come from certain hero combinations and can unlock additional active or passive effects.

Another core feature of the game is destructible environments. Parts of cover and architecture can be altered or destroyed in combat, so routes and safe positions shift during a round. The maps cover different locations in the Marvel Multiverse and are expanded across seasons.
