PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC is the reworked remake of the 1999 3D platformer. PAC-MAN travels across Ghost Island to rescue his kidnapped friends and family. Along the way, expect jumping sections, small environmental puzzles and battles against unusual enemies.

The remake combines the classic's structure with new graphics and reworked controls. The adventure is designed for one player.

PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC was released on Aug 26, 2022. The launch covered PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.

The original PAC-MAN WORLD was released for the first PlayStation in 1999. Re-PAC retells the same adventure with technical and gameplay adjustments.

PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC is out on Windows PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. The Switch version supports handheld, tabletop and TV mode.

The platformer offers a single-player campaign. This remake does not include a shared co-op mode.

In PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC you jump through 3D stages, dodge enemies and search for collectibles. To move on, you need to move objects, overcome obstacles and use the features of each area.

The controls combine classic platforming moves with PAC-MAN's ability to devour ghosts. At the end of each of the six areas, larger enemies await with their own attack patterns.

Two pieces of extra content have expanded PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC since November 2022. The Jukebox offers more than 50 tracks to choose from on the Ghost Island beach, including versions of the song “We Are PAC-MAN!”.

The Chrome Noir Chogokin skin changes PAC-MAN's look when he uses the Metal power-up. Both extra content packs are sold separately and require the main game.

The PC version requires at least Windows 10 64-bit, 4 GB RAM and 10 GB of free storage. Bandai Namco lists an Intel Core i3-2100 or AMD A8-5600K, plus a GeForce GTX 460 or Radeon R7 250 as a starting point.

For higher settings, the publisher recommends a Core i5-2300 or AMD FX-4350 and a GeForce GTX 650 Ti or Radeon HD 7770. The minimum requirements list DirectX 11.

PAC-MAN's birthday turns into a rescue mission when ghosts kidnap his family and friends. He follows them to Ghost Island, collects keys and frees the captives. Behind the raid is TOC-MAN, who awaits PAC-MAN at the end of the adventure.

The search leads through several distinctly different environments. With each rescue, PAC-MAN gets closer to his goal.

Ghost Island consists of six large themed areas. Pirate World, Ruins, Space, Amusement Park, Factory and Mansion each focus on different obstacles and enemies.

If you want to explore the island fully, look inside the levels for hidden keys and other collectibles too. Each area ends with its own boss challenge.

With the Butt Bounce, PAC-MAN can hit enemies and overcome obstacles. The roll attack speeds him up, while the float jump bridges difficult sections. Some stages require using moves in the right order.

Power-ups change his abilities: as Metal PAC-MAN he can walk underwater. In the enlarged MEGA form he devours ghosts directly.

Quest mode contains the main adventure on Ghost Island. In Maze mode you also play 3D mazes that are more reminiscent of classic PAC-MAN.

Completing Quest mode unlocks Original mode. In it you can play the classic PAC-MAN.

Hidden keys are the way to PAC-MAN's captured friends. The characters to rescue include PAC-MOM, PAC-BOY, PAC-SIS, Professor PAC, PAC-BUDDY and Pooka.

Rescues are part of campaign progress and help in the fight against TOC-MAN.

PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC includes an easier difficulty mode. Extra helper blocks assist with tough jumps and make the levels more accessible.

Players who prefer the classic platforming challenge can skip this support.

PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC includes German on-screen text. Both the PC version and the Nintendo Switch version support German. The adventure is designed for one player.
