Petit Planet

Petit Planet is a free life simulation set in space. You look after a small planet of your own, set up your home and meet animal neighbors who are looking for a new home. Instead of combat, everyday life, shaping the landscape and encounters with other residents take center stage.

Petit Planet releases on Dec 4, 2026 for PC, iOS and Android. The release date applies to the PC version via Epic Games and to the mobile versions.

The PC version for Windows is available through the Epic Games Store and the HoYoPlay launcher. There are separate versions for iOS and Android on smartphones and tablets. According to HoYoverse, progress can be synced between PC and mobile devices.

A native console version has not been announced.

You plant and harvest crops, fish, catch insects, search the beach for finds and combine ingredients into dishes. In between, you decorate your home and spend time with the other planet residents. Exploration, crafting and neighborly activities make up your own everyday life.

Your planet can be decorated with more than furniture and buildings. You can also change terrain shapes, coastlines, meadows and the look of the sky. Developing friendships with the residents brings out a special power that lets you reshape the landscape further.

The so-called Neighbors arrive from the Starry Sea and have their own personalities and stories. You get to know them, help with their wishes and deepen friendships through gifts, shared meals and walks. Over time, the small retreat becomes an inhabited community.

With companions, you can leave your home planet and travel the Starry Sea. Along the way you explore other places, gather materials and meet creatures and other characters. These outings add discovery and new ways to shape your own planet to your calm everyday life.

Players from different parts of the Starry Sea meet at the Galactic Bazaar. Trading, shared activities and encounters take center stage there. The Bazaar is the social counterpart to your personal planet, which you can also shape on your own.

Petit Planet links life on your own planet with shared areas such as the Galactic Bazaar. According to HoYoverse, the PC, iOS and Android versions support syncing game progress. This lets you pick up where you left off on different devices.

Petit Planet is available as a free-to-play game for PC, iOS and Android. The stores list optional in-game purchases, including random items. Getting started is free.

Petit Planet supports German on-screen text. Other languages include English, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

Petit Planet is available on iPhone and iPad. The US App Store lists iOS or iPadOS 15.0 as the minimum version. The app also includes messaging and chat features.

Petit Planet comes from COGNOSPHERE, the operator of the HoYoverse brand. It is the company's first galactic life simulation and focuses on planet building, everyday activities and community rather than the combat-focused systems of the well-known HoYoverse role-playing games.
