What is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies VR?
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies VR is a virtual reality version of the fifth main instalment of the Ace Attorney series. Instead of only following court hearings and investigations on a flat screen, players stand directly in the courtroom and at three-dimensional crime scenes. The VR version is developed by AMATA Games under license from Capcom.
Story-wise, Dual Destinies remains the story of Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes, who work through several cases in a “Dark Age of the Law” marked by distrust.

Gameplay
The well-known Ace Attorney principle remains: at crime scenes, clues are examined; in the courtroom, testimonies are checked, contradictions exposed and matching evidence presented. The VR adaptation turns this into spatial interactions. Crime scenes can be examined from different angles, and evidence items are picked up directly in your hand using motion controls.

Hand tracking and voice control
In addition to classic controller controls, the VR version supports hand tracking and voice commands. Players can address witnesses with their own hand, present evidence with gestures and trigger the famous “Objection!” by voice. These inputs are intended as an additional immersive control option and do not fully replace controller support.

Phoenix, Apollo and Athena
The VR version follows the story of Dual Destinies. Phoenix Wright returns as a lawyer and works together with Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes on several interconnected cases. The adaptation is therefore not a new Ace Attorney case series but a VR reinterpretation of the already known main game.
