SiN Reloaded

SiN Reloaded is the modernised remaster by Nightdive Studios of the 1998 first-person shooter SiN by Ritual Entertainment. It centres on security consultant Colonel John R. Blade, who takes on SinTEK boss Dr. Elexis Sinclaire and her genetically altered troops in a dystopian near future.

Nightdive has kept the original's interactive level design and moved the game, controls and presentation into a modern version for current PCs and consoles.

SiN Reloaded was released on Sep 24, 2026. The remaster is published by Nightdive Studios and Atari and brings the shooter, originally released in 1998, natively to current consoles for the first time.

SiN Reloaded is natively available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The console versions also mark SiN's console debut.

SiN combines fast first-person shooter gameplay with levels that were unusually interactive for their time. You can operate computer terminals, use surveillance systems and drive vehicles such as forklifts, boats or helicopters. Decisions and actions can open alternative routes through individual sections.

The combat system includes position-based damage and the ability to shoot weapons out of enemies' hands. SiN Reloaded modernises controls and the user interface without replacing this basic structure.

Nightdive uses the KEX Engine for SiN Reloaded. The remaster offers new HD textures and models, reworked 2D graphics and menus, anti-aliasing, and output up to 4K and 144 frames per second on supported hardware.

Maps, controls and the user interface were also reworked. On PC, the version is also designed for the Steam Deck.

The remaster includes the main campaign as well as the Wages of SiN add-on pack. In it, Blade faces a new mafia rival and more mutants. The main game and the expansion were optimised together for the modern KEX Engine version.
